(Yet) A(nother) Christmas Carol

A bit of Christmas silliness on the blog today.

I had the idea for this a few years ago, after looking up how many versions of A Christmas Carol there have been. (Answer: loads. FYI, the first filmed version – titled Scrooge, or, Marley’s Ghost – was released in 1901, a six-minute silent, most of which you can find and view on Wikipedia if you so desire.)

I never got around to doing anything about it other than writing the first few paragraphs of what I could see would turn into a not very good short story. So I left it until, this month, I volunteered to sort out something to read at our Work In Progress writing group; I immediately decided to go back to this and, just as immediately, decided that the script format would be perfect for it.

Just click on the link at the bottom of this post, and it’ll appear as if by magic. Just like Marley on Scrooge’s iPad. And if it amuses, please feel free to share it with your friends.

I hope you enjoy reading it. And, whatever your circumstances, I wish you the best possible Christmas, and the happiest and most fortunate of New Years.
